A Beltane Evening.

Strolling through the woodland at the back of our home on this Beltane Evening,  the whisper of a breeze blowing the hawthorn petals across the mossy path I walk and the sun low in the sky making every white petal glow like fireflies against a darkening green of the trees.

The woodland is full of bird song and everywhere I see tiny woodland homes, almost fae like. In this part of the woods are foxes and rabbits almost living next to each other.

I hear an owl calling close by.  He's waiting for the moon light.  The Sun has made longer shadows and will soon be gone from the sky.  Golden light shines through the young green leaves.

The natural sculptures and shadows of the old will make way for the new.

The new paintings by Amanda Clark. Miniature is the latest inspiration.

Some of the new paintings that I have been working on during the late Summer and Autumn have become smaller, and with a black chunky frame, they look so inviting and mysterious.  Like little snippets of dreams.
These are a few images that I have to show you for now.  Many more to come!

New 'Heart' prints.

It has been so long since my last post, every day has been wonderfully busy painting, fulfilling orders for shops, making a new collection of giclee prints from my original paintings and I'm starting to create a new online art gallery.  In this post, I wish to show you the new 'Heart' prints. These are printed on A4 matt archival paper with archival inks and hand embellished with touches of gold leaf.
These are now ready and listed in my etsy shop.

Bluebell Wood and new paintings.

The beautiful days of mid Spring warms my body and soul for the blissful Summer ahead and as the days become longer we can spend much more time enjoying walks through the woods and along the edges of meadows.  Bluebells fill the woodland floor creating a carpet of blues and new leaves of ferns uncurling. The jewel like greens and creamy pink blossoms are gifts from the trees for the birds that are singing their celebration of Spring time once again.

Natural archways and tiny bridges over streams take me deeper into an emerald and sapphire dream.

Images and sights of this magical world start to manifest inspirations for new paintings.
